The 1 | Rained all day veary hard and. we all Disimbarked from |
onboard ye R argile and Landed at the N - E Harbyer and marched | |
up to the Citey.. And the Regiment was drown up by the Barricks | |
that was burnt by the English, and we Stood in the rain for | |
the Space of fouer hours. And then we went to old Barricks whear | |
Brages Granedars went from. | |
the 2 | rain and we Shifed and went into new barricks. |
3 | fogey in the morning but fair in the arfter noon and |
one of our Ships went out arfter a french Ship. | |
The wind at west, the 4 fair and parte of the fleat Sailed and | |

by the Ileland Battarey. Tbe wind blew hard and ye boat turn over | |

Belonged to a Command of men going to Spanish river. And the | |
Ship Sailed. The Comand and Consised of 40 men. | |

a Shoner from Bosten with Catell, a Snow from Spanish river | |
and two Shonnoers from marbelhead. | |
28 | Rain. A Sloop a Snow a Rived hear from Boston in which |
the Chaplain to our Regment Came, and the Cheaf Dr. | |

which ye News Came that Ticondergo was taken and that | |
the English Lorst only 18 men in ye fight. | |
10 | fair. The privetear Sloop returned hear from St Johns |
In which Crows they fell in with ye french and Indans and | |
a fight in Sueed which larsted foure hours and we had Eleven men | |
wounded. It was in a harbyer Called pipetoo. | |
11 | fair. The other priveter Sloop Came in which went in Compny |
with ye fore menched Sloop and they wear in the fight and | |
they Lorst their guner, and had 13 men wounded and a | |
Sloop a Shoner from N-England which Confearmed ye News that | |
Ticondergo was taken. Also one hundred and fiftey heighe Landers | |
arived hear from N-york and Landed. They Encamped out Side of | |
west gate for their was no room in ye Citey for them. | |
12 | fair the wind at West. A Sloop Came in from Boston, and |
a Shoner from marbelhead with Catell. | |
13 | fair and ye Cannon and regiments fireed Reicoying for the |
taking of Ticondergo, and David fealt got in hear who had been | |
takenig by the french the thursday before at Canson. And the french | |
Striped them of Every thing Except one Chist one gun and the things | |
they had on as I under Stand, the 14 fair ye wind at west. | |
15 | fair ye wind at S-W and two men was whiped Each 200. |
A Sloop went out from hear, the 16 fair and Seven men was whiped | |

for to go up the river to the fleat. A Shonr arived hear from | |
Boston which brought ye news that Crownpoint was taken | |
but ye News is not Sarting as yet. | |
21 | fair and a Shoner arived hear from boston by which We had |
the news that forte Nigarey was taken by genral Janson with the | |
Lorse of 8 men and 15 wounded; 22 fair. A Shonir Came in from | |
Boston by whom the news Came that Crownpoint was Set on fire | |
by the french at ye approach of our armey. | |
23 | rain ye wind at S-W and we hear that Genral amherst was |
within three days march of Genral Wolf. A Ship a Sloop | |
Came in; 24 fair. Much news but all un Sarting. | |
25 | fair wthr. Much talk for Some davs Consarning a party |
of maisons and Carpenders going up river but to day | |
It Came to a result and all was for us to give in our tuls | |

because of ye prisners he had. It was through that Wolf would | |

Barricks by our Lut order, and then we went to the Chief Engineer and | |

All ye ordlv Sargts and Corpls of our regiment was Confined | |
for reglet of their dutey by order of ye town adgent nealls | |

The 24 | fair and a prise Shoner Was Sent in hear taken by |
Capt. Blake of Boston, who was Commander of a Compnay hear. | |
He was onboard a privatear Sloop belongin to this place, he | |
Command a partey on board Saided Sloop of 30 men. | |
25 | fair the wind at N-W and Cold and a Shoner Came in |
from ye River St alarance which brough news that the | |
fleat was to Sail for home in fifteen daye arfter them. | |
26 | fair. Two Ships two Sloops and one Shoner Came in hear |
from the river which are Sayed to be part of the pransports | |
that are to Carey home to New-England our regiment but | |
I doute whear it will prove So or no for every thing Seems | |
to be at a Stand hear. And I think we Shall Stay all winter | |
hear with in Stone walls well Lineed with Cannon all round. | |

the News Came that Quebec is taken, and the french Lorst | |
1500 men in 15 minets in a fild-fight and 1500 more in | |
Storme made by our pepoll on ye Citey. And allso that genral | |
wolf was wounded in Sayed fight of which he dieed, and | |
that genral mount-Carlm was Slain in ye fight. | |
And the English Lorst 600 men, the 2 fair ye wind at West. | |
A Shonor Came in from the river which Confairms ye News. | |
