The order of Robert Master Doctor of Divinith and ...Esquire two of
his Majesty?s justices of the peace in and for the said County, one
whereof being of the quorum, and both residing next unto the limits
of the parish church within the parish of North Meols in the said
County, made the nineteenth day of January in the Eighteenth year of
the reign of his said majesty King George the third, concerning a male bastard child, lately born in the Township of North Meoles and
the parish aforesaid of the body of Ellen Abraham single woman,
Whereas it hath appeared unto us the said justices, as well upon the
complaint of the churchwardens and overseers of the Poor of the said
Township of Northmeoles churchwardens and overseers of the Poor of

Abram that she the said Ellen Abraham on the fourth day of December
now last past, was delivered of a male bastard child at NorthMeoles
in the said parish of NorthMeoles in the said County, and that the

of North Meoles and further, that Zachriah Tinsley of North Meols in
the said County labourer did beget the said bastard child on the
body of her the said Ellen Abraham
And whereas the said Zachriah hath appeared before us in performance
of our summons forth at purpose, but hath not showed any sufficient
cause why he the said Zachriah Tinsley shall not be the reputed
father of the said bastard Child.
We therefore, upon examination of the cause and circumstances of the
premises as well upon the oath of the said Ellen Abraham as
otherwise, do hereby adjudge him the said Zachariah Tinsley to be
the reputed father of the said bastard child.
And thereupon we do order, as well for the better relief of the said
Township of North Meoles as for the sustenation and relief of the
said bastard child, that the said
			Zachriah Tinsley shall and do
forthwith, upon notice of this our order, pay or cause to be paid to
the said churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said

towards the lying in of the said Ellen Abraham and the maintenance
of the said bastard child, to the time of making this our order one
pound nine shilling and eight pence
An I do also hereby further order, that the said
			Zachariah Tinsley
shall likewise pay or cause to be paid, to the churchwardens and
overseers of the poor of the said Township of Northmeoles for the
time being, or to some or one of them, the sum of Eight pence weekly
and every week from the present time, for and towards the keeping
sustentation, and maintenance of the said bastard child, for and
during so long time as the said bastard child shall be chargeable to te said Township of North Meoles And we do further order that the
said Ellen Abraham shall also pay or cause to be paid to the said
churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said Township of
North Meoles for the time being, or to some or one of them the sum
of Eight pence weekly and every week, so long as the said bastard
child shall be chargeable to the said Township of North Meoles in
case she shall not nurse and take care of the said child herself.

I am contacting you after coming across your site on the Internet.

My Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather was Lawrence Abraham/Abram
and was the father of Ellen who married Zachriah Tinsley. Ellen is the
sister of my Great Great Great Great Grandfather John.

All my ancestors originate from Meols/Banks area of Southport Lancashire
England. I have been researching my Family Tree and have come across many
Rimmers, Wrights. Blundells etc. It seems that they were all connected
through the years, being mentioned in old wills and as witnesses at each
	others weddings etc.

I found your site very interesting and moving to read and if you would
like to get in touch please do.

I have attached some photos of St Cuthberts Church in Meols, a church
that as you know is well connected to both ourselves just in case you have
	not seen it.

If you would like to get in touch at any time please feel free to do so.

Regards

June Abram. (Wirral, England)
