Wilshire Country Club to dry out. The 16th hole had always been a problem and was lengthened to become a par 5. Two
Chicagoans, Al Espinosa and Eddie Loos, led the tournament after the first round, but it was Ed Dudley’s final-round 68
which earned a place in the tournament’s list of champions.
