• Plotts of four Town Lotts in Block C. in the Town of Sydney improved and inclosed by Samuel Sparrow Esquire were laid before the Board and the claim M^r Cuyler made to them was taken into consideration And David Tait Esquire who had been been [sic] employed in laying out the Town of Sydney being called and requested and requested to certify to the Board what he knew respecting the said Lotts.

      The said David Tait declared in Oath that the Lotts [alluded] to were Assigned to M^r. John Wilkinson Mr Sparrows' Agent in the Month of June 1785.

      It was thereupon unanimously [agreed] that the said Plotts returned in Order that a Grant may pass for the same to Samuel Sparrow Esquire ...

  Here Tait reveals, shortly after Governor's Macarmick's arrival on October 10, 1787,  that "Mr. Sparrows property who had been two years in possession and had laid not a Considerable Sum in fences and improvements ..."
