HEINRICH PETER JANZEN AND ANNA HAMM

Name Heinrich Peter JANZEN
Born 30 Nov 1792
Gender Male
History In the 1814 Chortitza Colony Census he is listed at Nieder Chortitza #21 (B.H. Unruh, p. 281). In the 1835 Molotschna Colony Census he is listed at Schoensee #12, where it says he came to Russia in 1795 and transferred to Schoensee in 1825 from the Chortitza Colony. He later founded the Silberfeld Estate, an estate of about 80,000 in the Alexandrovsk District of the Ekaterinoslav Province on which the village of Silberfeld was later founded. For some reason he isn't with his father in the 1795 Chortitza Colony Census although he is listed with him in the 1801 Census. One of the children by either his second or third wife was named Wilhelm and Wihelm was alive in 1867.

ANNA HAMM AND HEINRICH PETER JANZEN

Name Anna HAMM
Born 17 Jan 1793
Gender Female
History Her great great great grandson Rudolph Friesen (b. 20 Jan 1949) says her birth date was 13 Sep 1793. She may be the same person as Anna Hamm (b. ca 1784) #44942. Her age is given as 30 in the 1814 Chortitza Colony Census (B. H. Unruh, p. 281), suggesting that she was born ca 1784 rather than in 1793. Heinrich Janzen's wife Anna's age is given as 34 in the 1835 Molotschna Colony Census. If his wife's age is given correctly in the census this would imply that Anna Hamm died before 1835 rather than in 1846 as one source says. Possibly Heinrich Janzen's 2nd wife died in 1846.
The 1814 Molotschna records say that she, the Widow Anna Friesen, was married again on 15 May 1814, and moved to the Chortitza Colony.
