Annual Louisbourg Lighthouse Day Event

Sponsored by the Non-Profit - Louisbourg Lighthouse Society.
Heritage Headquarters - S& L Railway Station, Roundhouse.

The Louisbourg Lighthouse Preservation Society held its annual Lighthouse Day event on Saturday, August 13, 2005 in the Sydney & Louisburg Railway Historical Society roundhouse. It was a successful event with many people dropping by to become members of the Society, to view the excellent exhibit of student artwork produced by Mrs. Elizabeth Lalonde’s students at George D. Lewis school and to enjoy the barbeque.

• 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. DISPLAY OF STUDENT LIGHTHOUSE ART
  Membership Cards on sale for $3.00 per person or $5.00 per family. Even split tickets on sale. Don't forget to sign the register
• 10:00a.m. SCAVENGER HUNT
  Will take place for children up to the age of 12 at the Roundhouse
• All Day: HIKING
  Enjoy a hike to the lighthouse. Pick your own time and take a friend with you. Get your participation certificate after your hike at the Roundhouse.
• 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. GIANT YARD SALE
  To take place on the lawn and parking lot at HanBeck Sea Products. Please bring your own tables. No Charge! Everyone welcome. Just come! Barbeque on grounds.
• 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. STEAK & STEIN
  To take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62, Main Street.
• 6:30 p.m. RACE THROUGH TIME
• 7:00 p.m. FORTRESS SENIORS CLUB
  10 Merchandise and 10 Cash bingo games. Everyone Welcome! Please Come and Join Us!
