When conducting research, there may arise a question concerning legal terms, historical calendar dates, or even the reconstructed size of Louisbourg needing an answer. Well, have a look at: ../search/rtools.html and if anyone has suggestions for additional links, please pass your ideas on to the Webmaster.
In particular, click on "Historical Research Using Specialized External Databases." at rtools.html. This will produce a clickable list of the best databases to be found in Canada, France, Great Britain and the United States which researchers should consult when exploring 18th-century Nova Scotia subjects. As well, because these databases are dedicated, the information that they contain will not be revealed when consulting search engines like google, etc. Thus you may be surprised by the wealth of information on the net of which most researchers are unaware. And as a bonus, their use is free.

As reported in Issue 2003, Issue 3, links to individual memos found in the "Historical Memoranda Series, 1964-present" would be made as they are computerized. The first of these links can be found within 1975, H F 25, 1975. To facilitate this project, the Webmaster is now asking anyone who possesses computerized memos found within the lists noted at ../search/List_HMS.html to forward them before he proceeds further, to avoid duplicating work already done.
