VISITING LAKE WALES: PARENT'S FLORIDA HOME

My father and mother owned this vacation property with a permanent trailer on Lake Wales (Saddlebag Lake Park) where my father, on January 15, 1980, passed from complications arising from Leukemia. We often visited before his death, and for some time after, before my mother sold the property. When there in March, we often went to a spring training game somewhere in Florida.

tennis court and shuffle boards
There was also a small fresh water lake on the property where one could swim
