A great example of the kindness in a small community is this bench that has been donated for use at the practice facility at Talbot Trail Golf Club. This memorial donation is in memory of the parents and brother of Shirley Ribble and her sister Lynda Krause. Memorial donations were made to Talbot Trail Junior Golf when their mother Lydia Richards passed away. The family chose to purchase a bench and place it at the range with the inscription "in memory of Mike, Lydia and Rick Richards: Practice, Practice, Practice." Many folks in the area will remember Mike as superintendant at Ridgetown, Erie Shores and Essex Golf Clubs, while Lydia tended the pro shops. The family also donated a scrapbook with golf pictures from the early 1960's. The range is open to all members of the public. Tokens are available at the clubhouse. Now you may enjoy a quiet, tranquil rest after you Practice, Practice, Practice. Rick helped the family at Erie Shores before becoming a greenskeeper in Fernie, BC.
