. Le Brignolet opened first in Louisbourg and Lynda was hired by Ken Tutty on the recommendation of Babs Morgan's Mother who we all referred to as "Momiola" (Annie (Ryan) Mackinnon married to the then deceased Chief Justice Alexander Hugh McKinnon) and was a huge shopper at Le Brignolet, and who thought Lynda's personality would suit the place perfectly.

• Le Brignolet first rented in Louisbourg (Today's doll house), and then in Sydney (Next to the iconic Ike's Delicatessen, and afterwards in the equally iconic Smart Shop (1988)) before purchasing their own building on Charlotte street (destroyed later by fire and a collapsed roof)

• Over the years Lynda worked herself into being manager of Le Brignolet, a Sydney upscale gift shop, on Charlotte Street. From time to time, she would also help out at Gowrie House (Upscale restaurant and Bed and Breakfast), in Sydney Mines, Clifford Matthews, owner.

• If I didn't drive her to work early before opening before driving to Louisbourg for my job with the Fortress, Lynda walked, and sometimes took a cab. I picked her up evenings, and we often had pizza from the Napoli Restaurant.

• Lynda and I became a good friends with Meg and her partner, Scott Phillips, who then lived in Sydney Mines. We often visited them at their home in Sydney Mines, and later outside of Sydney.

• Lynda and Judy Cechetto became close friends, and over the years we visited often with her and her husband John, often at family gatherings. Later, Lynda and Judy would have get-togethers post Christmas day and exchange gifts just between themselves - often at the Delta Hotel.
