[Note: The next recorded council meeting is not until August 29, 1786 where the following observation is made: "The lieutenant Governor on account of the absence of the President and Several of the Members of His Majesty's Council considered it expedient and necessary for His Majesty's Service ... to Nominate as Members of His Majesty's Council for Cape Breton David Tait Esquire, The Reverend Ranna Cosset Clerk and George Moore Esquire .... the other councillors during the rest of 1786 were Alexander Haire, William Brown, and George Rodgers]
