} Alexander Leslie Defandr
Samuel Sparrow of Halifax Merchant the plantift in this case Maketh Oath and Saith That the Defendant Alexander Leslie Stands Justly and truly Indebted to this Depondent in the Sum of Forty pounds; two Shillings Currency for Principal Damages, Interest and charges upon a Certain Bill of Exchange drawn by one Thomas Maxwell in favour of the Said Alexander Leslie upon Messrs Drummonds Bankers Charing Cross London for value received which Bill has been Indorsed by the said Alexr. Leslie Leslie according to the Custom of Merchands and has been Since duly protested fro want of payment. And this Depondent further Saith that he has not, nor has any person or persons whatsoever for him received any payment or Satisfaction for the said sum of Forty pounds; two Shillings or any part thereof ./.
