1790 Supreme Court Session - Hockenhull admin of Heywood vs. Sparrow (S.C. 1790) 

... To the Sheriff of the County of Halifax ... Greeting. Wheras John Hockenhull Administrator of Robert Heywood by the Consideration of our Justices of our Supreme Court of Judicature Held at Halifax on the second Tuesday of October recovered Judgement against Samuel Sparrow for the Sum of One hundred and eighty one pounds eight shillings & 1d Debt or Damage, and the Sum of twelve pounds fourteen shillings & 10d Costs of Suit ... WE COMMAND you therefore, that the Goods, Chattels, lands, or Tenements of the said Samuel Sparrow within your Precinct, you cause to be paid and satisfied unto the said John Hockenhull Admin aforesaid at the Value thereof in Money the aforesaid Sums, being one hundred and ninety four pounds two Shillings & 11d and thereof also to satisfy you for your Own Fees and for want of Goods, Chattels, Lands or Tenements of the said Samuel Sparrow to be by him Shewn unto you, or found within your precinct, to the Acceptance of the said John Hockenhull Admor aforesaid to satisfy the sums aforesaid, WE command you to take the Body of the said Samuel Sparrow and commit unto our Goel in Halifax and detain in your Custody Within our said Goal until he pays the full Sums abovementioned ... the twenty ninth Day of october in the thirty first Year of our Reign ... 1790 ... Issued 3.d Jany 1791 ...
