By His Excellency William Macarmick Liu.^t Governor & Comm.^r in Chief of the Island of Cape Breton & its Dependencies &c

To Patrick Rooney Nugent Esq.^r Dy. Surveyor Genl. of Lands You are hereby directed and required to Admeasure & lay out unto John Rundle a certain Lott in the Town of Sydney on which he has erected the House he now lives in to measure in breadth in front & rear forty feet and in depth on each side One Hundred feet, also those two farm Lotts situated in the N. W. branch of Sydney River distinguished by Lott N. 9 & 10 on which he has made Improvements to measure together in the whole in breadth in front & rear Ten Chains and the usual proportion in depth and make a return thereof with a Plot Annexed into the Secretarys Office that a Grant may [help?] for the same - Given under my hand & Seal this 22^d day of January 1789 -
