[f] The property, here alluded to, consisted of several Tracts of Land, Situate in the Province of Nova Scotia, in the Purchase of which in the year 1761... DesBarres had laid out upwards of Twenty thousand Pounds.

The Creditors for Supplies to the Public Service, having obtained Judgments, respectively levied Executions, and, not only the Cattle and Produce were sold by the Sheriffs' Officer and carried off the Premisses; but the Property of a considerable l'art of the Soil was also conveyed to them according to the Laws of that Province. (Vide, Judgments obtained and exhorbitant seizures made, by John Jodrit, Niel Robertson, Tremaine and Company, Samuel Sparrow, Hall and Company, James Kavanaugh, &c: &c: for only £. 11,641 14s. 11d.);No Remittance whatever has been received since the Period of the said Executions and Seizures from the said Property - the Proceeds thereof, (reduced by these Derangements) has been applied towards defraying Law Expences, repairing Devastations, and reinstating the Tenants...

several of my Estates, which, since 1787, have been seized by sundry Creditors to me for the Public Service in Cape Breton, via. Tatmegoushe, Castle Frederick, Menaudie, &c ...
