the Island of Cape Breton Esquire is justly indebted to this Deponent in the sum
of four thousand and forty one pound current Money of Nova Scotia on Sundry
protested Bills of Exchange made and given by said DesBarres to this Deponent
for valuable Considerations and protested for non payments, of which he hath
received no part

the Goods, Chattles or the Estate of Joseph Frederick Wallet DesBarres late of
the Island of Cape Breton Esquird an absent Debtor to the Value of four thousand
Pounds .... to appear before our Justices of our Supreme Court, to be holden at
Halifax on the first Tuesday of April next ... to answer the Suit of Samuel
Sparrow Merchant ... for not paying him four thousand and forty one pounds
currency due on his Several Bills of Exchange protested for nonpayment And
returned to the Said Samuel ... this twenty third Day of October in the twenty
seventh Year of our Reign ... 1787 ...
