Island of Cape Breton August 29th 1787 ...
His Honor the Lieutenant Governor having required the attendance of David Mathews, William Snith, James Edward Boisseau, Thomas Uncle and Samuel Sparrow in the Council Chamber at His House in Sydney over this Day. They attended accordingly where he was pleased in pursuance of the King's Order to Direct that they should be sworn in as members of his majesty's Council for this Island. Whereupon they were sworn in accordingly and took their Seats at the Board
