Petition for a water lot, north suburbs, Halifax. "Opposite to the Red Hospital." The lot was originally granted to William Randal, whose agent and attorney is Sparrow. Lately the lot was granted to Robert Whiston, on the presumption that there was no present owner. Petition that Mr. Randal's name be reinstated. License to be made if land is improved.

have a Licence when he improves
To His Excellency John Parr Esqr governeur and Commander Chief in and over His Majestys Province of Nova Scotia
The Petition of Samuel Sparrow of Halifax Merchant Sheweth
That your Petitioner begs to be heard in a Claim of a Water Lott in the North Suburbs opposite to the Red Hospital 50 feet in the Beach.
Your Petitioner begs leave to observe to your Excellency that the said water Lott was originally granted to William Randal, whose agent and Attorney is Sparrow.
- Petition for a water lot, north suburbs Halifax, "opposite to the Red Hospital." The lot was originally granted to William Randal of Halifax whose Agent & Attorney your petitioner is; And your petitioner was and is at this time preparing to Improve the Same. And having been Informed that the said Lott has been lately granted to Robert Whiston upon the presumption of there being was no present owner of the Same.
Therefore your Petitioner begs in the name of Mr. Randal the prior Grantee to be reinstated in the said Water Lott ____ for which your Petitioner as in Duty bound will ever pray &c. ____
