Oath of Daniel Wood Son.   
]This Indenture Made the sixth day
|of May in the Year of our Lord one  
|seven thousand hundred and Eighty two, 
|and in the twenty second Year of the Reign 
|of our Sovereign Lord George the third by 
|the Grace of God of Great Britain France 
|and Ireland King Defender of the faith 
|and so forth Between Andrew Cuenod of  
]the town of Halifax in the County of 

Halifax and province of Nova Scotia Merchant of the one part and Samuel Sparrow of the said town of Halifax and province aforesaid Merchant of the other part Witnesseth That the said Andrew Cuenod for and in Consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty pounds Current money of the province aforesaid to him in hand well and truly paid at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents The Receipt hereof he the said Andrew Cuenod doth hereby fully acknowledge and of and from the same and every part and parcel thereof Acquit, Exonerate and for ever discharge the said Samuel Sparrow his heirs Executors and Administratores Hath granted, Bargained, and sold, aliened, Enffeoffed, released and Confirmed and by these presents Doth grant, bargain and sell, alien, enfeoff, release and Confirm unto the said Samuel Sparrow his heirs and assigns for ever All that the Moiety or half part of the Lot of Ground Number four Letter C as Scituate in Foreman's Old Division within the town of Halifax aforesaid with the Messuage or Tenement thereon Erected and all other improvements as former by purchased by him of Moses Delesdernier late of the said town of Halifax in the province aforesaid Gentleman And also that the whole Lot of Ground Number five Letter C in the same division and next adjoining North= =ward to the aforesaid Moiety or half Lot as before described with all other the houses, buildings and improvements thereon and thereunto belonging and each of them Erected or built and improved or to be erected built and improved with all the rights, Members and Appurtenances thereunto belonging And all paths, Ways Waters, Water==Courses, Fences, dreins, Lights, Casements, Liberties, priviledges, profils, Commodities, Advantages, Emoluments and Hereditaments whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise Appertaining and reputed or taken as part, parcel or Member thereof and of any and every part thereof And the Reversion and Reversions, Remainder and Remainders, Rents, Issues, Services and profits thereof any of every part and parcel thereof with their and every of their Appurtenances And also all the Estate, Right, Title, Fee Simple and Inheritance thereof, Interest, property, possession, Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Andrew Cuenod and his heirs both in Law and Equity of, in and to the same and every part and parcel thereof with their and every of their Appur=tenances And all papers, Deeds, writings and Evidences thereto and any way touching or concerning the same and every or any part thereof now in his Custody or power To have and to hold All and Singular the said two several pieces or parcels of Land or Ground as herein before mentioned and Described together with all the Messuages, and Tenements Houses or buildings and improvements thereon and premisses as aforesaid with their and each and every of their Rights, Members and Appurtenances unto the said Samuel Sparrow and his heirs and Assigns for ever To the only proper use and behoof of him the said Samuel Sparrow his heirs and Assigns forever And he the said Andrew Cuenod for himself and his heirs Doth hereby Covenant promise, grant and agree to and with the said Samuel Sparrow and his heirs and Assigns that he the said Andrew Cuenod now is or was immediate before the Signing and Executing of these presents by him the true and Lawful Owner of all and Singular the said two several pieces or parcels of Land or Ground with the Messuages & Tenements houses or buildings and improvements thereon and premisses as aforesaid and every part and parcel thereof with their and every of their Rights, Members and Appurtenances And that he now is or so immediate before such Executing hereof was Lawfully and Righfully seized of a good sure, perfect, absolute and Indeseazable Estate of in ffec Simple of and in the same and every part and parcel thereof with their and every of their Appurtenances aforesaid without any manner of Condition, Mortgage, Limitation of use or uses or other matter, Cause or thing whatsoever to alter, change, charge or Determine the same and he in himself hath good, full power and Lawful and absolute Authority to grant, bargain, sell and Convey All and Singular the said two several pieces or parcels of Lands or Ground Messuages and Tenements Houses or Buildings Improvements thereon and premisses aforesaid with all their Appurtenances as and in manner aforesaid unto the said Samuel Sparrow his heirs and Assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Samuel Sparrow and his heirs and Assigns for ever According to the true intent and meaning of these presents And also that he [sic] said Samuel Sparrow and his heirs and assigns shall and may at all times for ever hereafter peaceably and Quietly have, hold, use, Occupy, possess and enjoy All and Singular the said two several pieces or parcels of Land or ground, Messuages and tenements, houses or buildings, improvements thereon and premisses with their and every of their Appurtenances without any the Let, Suit, trouble, hindrance, Molestation, interruption or Denial of him the said Andrew Cuenod or his heirs or of any person or persons Claiming or to Claim by, from or under him or them and that heed and Discharged or otherwise well and sufficiently saved and kept harmless and indemnified of, from and Against all former and other Gifts, Grants, Sales, Leases, Mortgages, jointures, Dowers, and right and little of Dower, uses, Wills, Trusts, Intails and Settlements, Recoveries, fines, Issues, Amercia==ments, Bonds, Annuities, Writings Obligatory, Recogni==zances, Judgments, Extents, and Executions, Seizures, Rents and Arrearages of Rent and of any from all other Charges, Estates, Rights, Titles, Demands troubles and incumbrances whatsoever had, made, Comitted, done or suffered or to be had, made Committed done or suffered by him the said Andrew Cuenod or his heirs or any other person or persons whatsoever Claiming or to Claim by, from or under him, them or any of theme and further that he the said Andrew Cuenod and his and every other person and persons and his, her and their heirs any thing having or Claiming of or in the said two Several pieces or parcels of Land or Ground, Messuages and Tenements houses or buildings and improvements thereon and premises afore=said or any part there of with their or any or either of their Appurtenances by, from or under him or his heirs or any or either of them shall and will from time to time and at all times hereafter at and upon the Reasonable request and Costs and Charges of the said Samuel Sparrow his heirs or Assigns make, Do and Execute or cause and procure to be made , done and Executed all and every such further and other Lawful and reasonable Act and Acts, thing and things, Device & Devices, Deeds, Conveyance and Conveyances or assurances in the law whatsoever for the further better more perfect and absolute granting, Conveying and assuring of all and singular the said two several pieces or parcels of Land or Ground and Messuages and tenements, houses or buildings and improvements thereon and premisses aforesaid with their and every of their Rights, members and Appurtenances unto him the said Samuel Sparrow and his heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Samuel Sparrow his heirs and assigns forever as by the said Samuel Sparrow his heirs or assigns or his or their Council learned in the Law shall be reasonably devised or advised and required
