CHANGES OF OWNERSHIP:
Vallée's 1734 survey notes that La Rose's
concession was in part composed of land
originally granted to La Ramée. Nicolas'
and La Ramée's 1718 concessions listed
each other as neighbours. La Ramée's
concession was not large enough to encompass
all the land later occupied by the Royal
Battery. However, it probably did fall
in the area expropriated for the battery.
La Ramée's 1726 concession may have been
granted in compensation for the loss of
this land.
