Vallée's 1734 survey notes that La Rose's concession was in part composed of land
originally granted to La Ramée. Nicolas' and La Ramée's 1718 concessions listed
each other as neighbours. La Ramée's concession was not large enough to encompass all the land later occupied by the Royal Battery. However, it probably did fall in the area expropriated for the battery. La Ramée's 1726 concession may have been granted in compensation for the loss of this land.
