1730 Ste. Marie died. There is no further
reference to his concession. On some plans
one of the small islands in the barachois
appears as "Ile De Ste. Marie". This is the
only indication, aside from the original
concession, that Ste. Marie was associated
with the area. A 1738 plan shows a large portion
of what should have been Ste. Marie's land as
belonging to De Gannes. (See # 4)
