Louisburgh, and brought in with her a Sloop from Lisbon, bound to Plymouth, loaded with Salt, Wine, Lemons, &c. ...

... the same Indian chief [Chief Jeannot] mentioned by your lordships had ineffectually applied to the officer [Major Walton] commanding the troops at Louisbourg for some small allowance of provisions, and other necessaries, and the declarations he then made, of being obliged, on the refusal he met with, to have recourse to the Island of St. Peter, and I have lately had the mortification to find that he was not only well received there, but that he has continued on that Island ever since with his whole tribe ...
