The pastel portrait of an Artois officer on display in the Bigot house. This portrait-- purchased for the Louisbourg collection in 1968 by Jean Palardy—is identified as Jean René Benne de L’Etendard, Captain of the Artois Regiment, in Louisbourg and Canada, 1755-1760.
