Included in Berrichon's March 6, 1719, purchase of property 6 (The Soubras Beach Concession), was the following description:

Qu'il luy soit pareillement accordé un brevet pour estre maintenu et conseré dans la possession et jouissance d'une autre portion de grave de 64 toises de front sur 13 toises 3 pieds de largeur et de l'islot en dépendant, par luy acquise de M. de Soubras par contrat du 6 mai 1719 ... Que ce terrain soit également borné par l'Ingénieur afin qu'il ne puisse y etre troublé sans quoy son commerce seroit interrompu et il seroit hors d'etat de payer ces créanciers à cause des dépenses considérables qu'il a faites sur cette acquisition. Qu'il pourra aussi faire combler la partie du Grand Etang qui environne l'islot mentioné dans led. contrat de vente, comme chose à luy appartenant, inutile au Roi et au public, et qu'il pourra s'étendre dans la profondeur dud. terrain borné par la rue Royalle pour y planter des vigots et faire une sècherie nécessaire pour son commerce ..(54)

[In the Margin: Il est bon de les engager à venir à Louisbourg, mais il ne faut pas se restreindre à ne donner des concessions qu'à ceux qui s'obligeront de bastir à Louisbourg ....

Plusieurs demandent des emplacements pour bâtir et M. de St-Ovide et luy leur en donnent. Il suplie le Conseil d'approuver qu'ils ne donnent point des concessions dans les autres endroits à moins que ces habitants n'ayent maisons et magasins à Louisbourg. Ils font détruire toutes les petites maisons qui sont autour du havre et qui n'appartiennent point à des Me Pêcheurs, afin de les engager à venir bâtir dans l'enceinte des fortifications ... (59)

1e Bastir les maisons et magasins sur les faces des rues;

2e Mettre à l'uny la moitié des rues qui font face aux concessions;

3e Faire un petit canal au milieu des rues à moitié faits de pierre seiches pour l'écoullement des eaux;

4e Ne point donner l'écoullement des toits sur son voisin, mais sur le devant et sur le derrière des maisons et magasins;

5e Les maisons et magasins qui ne seront point bastis en mur et seulement de bois, doivent laisser une espace entre celle et les voisins de trois pieds au moins pour les accidents du feu et les écoulements des eaux;

6e Les séparations des cours et jardins pouront être avec des piquets à la volonté des propriétaires;

7e On ne mettra point des piquets d'avances pour soutient dans les rues mais seulement des lisses d'apuy et de liation du haut au bas;

8e On sera obligé d'être baty dans l'année de la concession;

9e On fera enrégistrér la concession sinon sera reputée nulle. (65)
