PATERNAL SIDE
RIMMER LINEAGE CATHERINE SHEPHERD Hi From "Jane Edwards" 
I am researching my family history and came across Lynda’s corner on your
website.
We have a common ancestor - Catherine Shepherd who married James Rimmer in
1908 at All Saints Church, Hindley, near Wigan, Lancashire UK
Catherine was the younger sister of my Great Grandfather Richard Shepherd,
and one of 7 siblings.
I am researching the Shepherd side and have got back as far as the marriage
of Mathew Shepherd and Elizabeth Gregory in 1840 ( still in Hindley).
Yesterday I visited the grave of Catherine Rimmer - nee Shepherd’s parents -
( my 2x Great Grandparents) in Hindley Cemetery. Richard Shepherd died 1919
and Catherine Shepherd ( nee Tunstall ) who died in 1938.
Found it interesting that there are distant relatives who found there way to
Canada. We have friends who live in Brantford .
